Developing Dental Treatment Protocol Practice Skills of Dentistry Undergraduates through Digital interactive Education
About DILDENT
DILDENT is an Erasmus+ project that aims to analyze and harmonize Dental Treatment Protocols (DTP) across partner universities while integrating innovative digital interactive learning tools into dental education. By bringing together experts in dentistry and software development, the project adopts a multidisciplinary approach to enhance the teaching and practice of DTP. Through collaboration, DILDENT will develop digital interactive tools, train dentistry students, and improve both knowledge and motivation in DTP. Ultimately, the project seeks to standardize DTP implementation and ensure alignment with advancements in dental care.

Project Results

Harmonised Dental Protocols (DTP)
By reviewing best practices, literature, and existing guidelines, the project aims to develop a unified DTP framework covering key dental disciplines. This harmonization will ensure consistency in patient care, optimize resource use, foster collaboration among institutions, and promote internationalization in dental education. Ultimately, it will equip future dentists with up-to-date knowledge and skills, improving both training quality and healthcare outcomes.

Digital Interactive Learning Tools
20 digital interactive learning tools to enhance dental students’ understanding of Dental Treatment Protocols (DTP) will be developed. These tools, designed with engaging scenarios, challenges, and feedback mechanisms, aim to improve learning effectiveness through interactivity and gamification. The tools will be accessible on multiple platforms, localized for different languages, and evaluated for usability and impact. By integrating technology into dental education, this output promotes active learning, problem-solving, and digital transformation in the field.

DILDENT Events
DILDENT Events focuses on sharing and promoting the project’s results through events that bring together dental educators, students, and stakeholders. These events aim to increase awareness, encourage the adoption of harmonized Dental Treatment Protocols (DTP) and digital learning tools, and foster collaboration among dental schools. They also serve as platforms for exchanging best practices, collecting feedback, and identifying future research areas. Ultimately, these efforts will support the standardization and digital transformation of dental education across Europe.
